The University of Debrecen was included for the first time in the higher education ranking list of QS, Graduate Employability Ranking. UD was placed in the top 500 in the ranking based on employer perceptions, results of graduates and corporate networking.
University of Debrecen was ranked in the 301-500th category in the latest, 2022 Graduate Employability Ranking list of the renowned British ranking creator, QS, which aims to compare higher education institutions around the world based on their employment results. The ranking took into account, among others, the employer perceptions of the university, the alumni community, the institution’s corporate network and the employment opportunities of recent graduates.
QS used five indicators to create the list: the employer perception of the universities (30%), the results of previous graduates, i.e. the alumni community (25%), the number of corporate partnerships (25%), the relationship system between companies and students, career and recruitment events, corporate actors in training (10%) and the employment rate of graduates (10%). For this data, among others, a global employer survey was conducted by contacting more than 75 000 employers. The most successful, most creative and most innovative leaders of the world were surveyed to find out which universities train the best. The recruitment activities of about 170 000 employers and more than 310 000 professional internships were examined for the 2022 ranking.
In addition to the University of Debrecen, Budapest University of Technology and Economics and Eötvös Loránd University was included in the list from Hungary. Three United States institutions topped the ranking: UD’s strategic partner, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on the first place, followed by Stanford University and University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
