Mental health consultation service for university students and staff

The Student Relations and Services Centre, through the Mental Hygienic and Equal Opportunity Centre (DEMEK), provides complex and diverse services to students and staff of the University of Debrecen.

At any time, we may encounter a situation in life when the waves crash overhead. Studies do not go as we would like, or difficulties arise in personal life, career, conflicts, or coping with certain events. In such cases, it may be worthwhile to consult with specialists and think about the situation that has arisen.

Experienced professionals at the University of Debrecen are waiting for university students and staff at several locations for the free mental health consultation service, within the framework of which they can provide 5 sessions per person.

You can sign up for a mental health consultation by filling out the following forms:

When checking in, pay attention to the thorough, detailed fill-in, as the specialists will contact you using the contact details provided in the form to make an appointment.

The staff of the centre receives requests throughout the year, during exam periods, between semesters and during breaks, not only during the semester.

Due to the high interest and overload, the staff of DEMEK will probably be able to make an appointment for the first personal consultation in 2-3 weeks. The staff of the centre may consider that the problem formulated at check-in can NOT be treated within the framework of the Mental Health Centre, in which case they can help by informing you about the care facilities that best fit the problem and recommending a treatment path.

If you are in a crisis and need immediate help, contact the 24-hour free psychological first aid helpline on 116-123 or visit www.sos116-123.hu.

The Mental Hygienic and Equal Opportunity Centre (DEMEK) thanks you for your trust and looks forward to your appointments.
