Thirteen indicators are being examined for the Best Global Universities list compiled by US News. Primarily, the academic recognition of higher education institutions is taken into account, within this, their ranks on the academic recognition list of Clarivate Analytics, their research results and publications, and the citation indicators of the given institution.
There are only five Hungarian higher education institutions among the first thousand universities worldwide: the Eötvös Loránd University, ranked 495th, Semmelweis University ranked 562nd, the University of Szeged, ranked 817th, the University of Debrecen, ranked 937th.
