QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings

The London-based Quacquarelli Symonds company has been creating the world rankings of higher education institutions since 2004. The list is based on six criteria: faculty/student ratio (20 %), number of international students and faculty (5-5 %), opinion of employer (10 %), the citation frequency of academic works related to the institution (20 %) and academic reputation (40 %).

Nine Hungarian universities were included in the latest, ’2022’ world university rankings of QS. The University of Debrecen is ranked 591-600th. The Debrecen institution is only preceded by the University of Szeged (551-560th), while Eötvös Loránd University and the University of Pécs are ranked in the 651-700th category, the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Corvinus University of Budapest, Szent István University, Széchenyi István University and University of Miskolc are ranked in the 801-1000th category.
