The Department of Clinical Psychology was established in May 2022 with the aim of coordinating the work of clinical psychologists employed in the patient care units of the Clinical Center, placing their activities under unified professional supervision, and operating as an independent patient care unit. The Center provides psychodiagnostic and psychotherapeutic services in both individual and group formats, applying a wide range of evidence-based methods.
The staff of the Center deliver services in both child and adult fields. In the area of child psychology, services are provided in the inpatient wards and outpatient departments of the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Psychiatry.
In adult care, services are available to outpatients treated at the Clinical Center’s Nagyerdei Campus and Kenézy Campus, based on referral from a medical specialist, as well as within the inpatient units of several clinical departments. For those units of the Clinical Center where no on-site clinical psychologist is available, consultation may be requested; such consultation is provided within 24 hours.
