Department of Oncology

The Department of Oncology actively participates in the spreading of information and promoting the significance of screening and prevention in connection with cancer. It has an active relationship with diverse groups of the population, from high school students to adults, providing educational, health promotion, lifestyle, and eating advice tailored to their needs. Our onco-psychologist and psychiatrist colleagues are the ones primarily involved in these tasks. We organize programs both for World Cancer Day and for national and local events in connection with breast cancer.  We provide our services with the involvement of social and patient organizations.

We consider our new program (currently in the planning stage) aimed at supporting the secondary prevention of cancer patients to be of great importance. In this program we study the issues related to cancer prevention with drugs, besides exercise, eating, and a healthy lifestyle.
