The staff of the Internal Medicine Department in Building "A" regularly organize medical conferences. The Nephrology Days, the Internal Medicine Days, the Hypertonia Day, the Emergency Care Conference, and the Clinical Pharmacology Congress are organized annually.
Our department has played a proactive role in a special national screening program aimed at registering and providing specialized care for patients with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). (FH is a genetic disorder that causes arteriosclerosis already at a young age. If it is not treated, it can result in severe cardiovascular diseases (heart attack, stroke)).
We offer regular educational programs at our department for people with diabetes in collaboration with the specialists of the Clinical Center’s Dietetic Service. As part of these programs, the patients can get advice and practical guidance in connection with eating, cooking, and lifestyle.
