During the integration process of the Clinical Center, the Internal Medicine Department of late Kenézy Hospital will continue to operate as Building D of the Institute of Internal Medicine. Internal Medicine Rehabilitation was established within Building D in 2021. The aim of the department is to serve the further development of movement and improvement of the condition of patients treated in the internal medicine departments.Patient admission is preceded by a specialist examination, and direct admission or appointment can be made depending on the patient's condition. In our department, 28 beds provide physiotherapy and physical therapy to help with movement development. Rehabilitation plans are implemented through the joint work of a rehabilitation specialist, an internist and an infectious disease specialist, and regular team discussions.
In addition to internal medicine diseases, it is common to treat patients suffering from orthopedic, rheumatological, and neurological diseases, provide them with physical and psychological management, provide them with lifestyle advice and, if necessary, with medical aids, and teach them. At the outpatient clinic of internal medicine rehabilitation - 2 times a week - the preliminary specialist examination and mainly the prescription of medical aids take place.
Our department is also accredited for specialist training.
