Our Services
- Histopathology
- Histopathological examination involves the microscopic analysis of tissues removed during surgery or other medical procedures. This enables accurate differentiation between inflammatory conditions, benign lesions, and malignant tumors. When required, rapid intraoperative (frozen section) examinations are performed to assist surgical decision-making in real time.
- Cytology
- Cytological diagnostics focus on the evaluation of cellular changes, allowing early detection of various diseases, particularly oncological and inflammatory conditions.

- Molecular diagnostics is one of the fastest-growing areas of modern pathology. By analyzing the genetic background of tumors and other diseases, we can more precisely classify lesions and support personalized treatment strategies. While conventional microscopy reveals the structural appearance of a lesion, molecular testing provides insight into its biological behavior and genetic alterations. Our laboratory utilizes state-of-the-art technologies for the detection of DNA and RNA abnormalities, including:
- Gene mutation analysis

- Identification of specific molecular markers
- Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH)

In addition to diagnostic activities, the staff of our institute are actively involved in education.
As part of the third-year curriculum, we teach pathology in both Hungarian and English to students of the following programs:
