Department of Internal Medicine, Building D is located in Kenézy Gyula Campus of Clinical Centre of University of Debrecen. There are 70 beds available on wards for inpatients with various general internal medical conditions. Some outpatient clinics (nephrology, diabetology) are located here as well while others (general medicine, endocrinology) can be found in the Outpatient Special Care Centre (Bethlen Street). Our teams provide care for around 4000 inpatients annually and perform more than 40.000 outpatient consultations.
Inpatients are taken from Emergency Department around the clock 7 days a week. All kinds of medical conditions are being treated including acute cardiological, nephrological, metabolic, gastroenterological and respiratory disorders. Due to our widespread portfolio we work in close connection with other departments of Clinical Centre especially with Department of Gastroenterology and B-Braun Haemodialysis Unit. Our motivated and skilled team with specialist doctors in internal medicine, nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, diabetes and well-trained nurses are responsible for appropriate patient care. Our High Dependency Unit with 6 beds has been working since November 2022 in order to provide even better conditions to treat severely diseased patients.
Outpatient clinics are available on working days in different disciplines such as nephrology, diabetes, endocrinology, while gastroenterology is in conjunction with the Department of Gastroenterology.
