In collaboration with the Arthritis Foundation, the Rheumatology of the Internal Medicine Department has been organizing a patient forum annually since 2008 in connection with the World Arthritis Day on October 12. Those interested can listen to lectures and presentations from experts in rheumatology and related fields. The presence and active involvement of the staff of the Rheumatology at the Internal Medicine Department also characterizes the events and programs organized by the Arthritis Patients Club in Debrecen, which works in close cooperation with the patient organizations of North-Eastern Hungary.
Our institution has been supportive of various social organizations established by people living with rheumatic diseases while we are also devoted to helping patients through health preservation and health promotion lectures and the publication and distribution of educational materials.
At national medical conferences, it is a priority both for our physicians and health care professionals to share our knowledge in connection with rheumatic diseases and to provide information both within and outside the profession about new medical achievements and innovations.
We perform and promote our healing work nationwide in the spirit of "the symbiosis of 21st-century patient care, research, and teaching dedicated to the patients."
