As a consequence of the unexpected succes of the event two years ago, students were once again invited to dress up as vampires during this year’s annual Spring Ball organised by the  Student Union.

For the 15th time by 2012, the Hungarian Academy of Science has announced the opening of the application period for the Bolyai Research Fund, which aims to provide financial help for talented researchers.

The University of Debrecen has been ranked on the 417th place by an improvement of 600 places, according to Webometrics (World universities’ ranking on the web) which included 20.000 universities.

According to recent national statistics, 109 000 students have submitted their applications  to higher education institutions,  a decrease in numbers  compered to last year’s  by 32 000.

The Dénes Gábor Association held its founding ceremony on 16th February, in Berlin.

As part of the Centenary Events ( commemorating the centenary of the University’s foundation), the geocaching international race will take place between 9-11 March, 2012.
